Zachary Rummel was diagnosed with an Anaplastic Astrocytoma on January 21st 2015. He spent 8 weeks at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN receiving radiation and chemotherapy treatments. He continues to take chemotherapy monthly and travels back to Memphis every two months for checkups and scans. Zachary has exemplified determination and courage throughout this journey. He stays faithful to his treatments, therapies, and school work. He literally tells us when it’s time to take his medicine which he takes every day with no complaints or objections. He knows there are certain things he needs to do to get better and does them without hesitation. We know he will not give up the fight to conquer his cancer diagnosis.

The tumor may have limited him physically but he continues to show us what is meaningful in life with his unbridled spirit, kindness and love. We thank God for giving him the strength to walk this difficult path as he has inspired so many and will continue to “Never Give Up”. He has teh sweetest and kindest soul of anyone you will meet. Thank you to everyone who has been by his side throughout this journey. Without the kindness and generosity of people and organizations like Pray for Gray, I don’t know how we could make it through each day. We thank everyone for their support.
